Where facts come from
Profiles may begin as imported directory entries. Owners can claim and add information. Editors check source-backed profiles before marking them editorially reviewed. We label owner-provided information separately and link to supporting sources. Unknown facts remain unknown.
Automatic research
Our crawler reads public official product, pricing and documentation pages, respecting robots.txt and request limits. AI extracts facts with supporting source excerpts; automated checks reject unsupported evidence and ambiguous prices. These profiles are labelled automatically researched, not editorially reviewed or hands-on tested. We retain unknown fields and route incomplete records for review. Owner and editorial content is protected from automatic overwrites. Eligible automated profiles need multiple official sources, clear pricing, useful features, limitations and a practical workflow. Indexing remains a search engine decision. Profiles are scheduled for another check after three days; quotas, blocked pages and outages can delay checks. Automated profiles older than 45 days lose automatic indexing eligibility.
What editorial review means
An editor has reviewed the recorded facts and linked evidence. It does not certify product quality, security, financial performance, or hands-on testing. A source-based workflow is labelled as such. Material owner edits remove editorial review until an editor checks them again.
How costs are calculated
Monthly plans use the published subscription price. Annual prices are stored as the full annual subscription and divided by twelve for comparison. Per-seat pricing uses at least the minimum number of seats. Known overage charges use the usage allowance for the whole subscription. Usage limits are never assumed unlimited. Annual estimates assume the same usage each month. Taxes, currency conversion, negotiated prices, setup fees, and unlisted add-ons are excluded.
Comparisons and recommendations
Discovery orders the most recently editorially reviewed profiles first; complete automatically researched profiles follow; names break ties within each group. Other profiles follow alphabetically. Alternatives begin with the same category and a recorded matching primary feature when available; they are not automatically equivalent replacements. The calculator only matches requirements explicitly recorded on a plan. A lower price alone does not mean a better product.
Saved tools and alerts
Saved tools and lists belong to your account. In-app alerts report changes to profile facts recorded in our database after you saved a tool or marked updates read. They are not continuous monitoring of every vendor website. We do not send alert emails. You can pause alerts or remove a saved tool at any time.
Sponsorship and offers
Basic listings and current owner tools are free. We do not sell editorial approval or organic ranking. Sponsor cards are clearly labelled and separated from organic results. Product offers are owner-provided and should be checked with the vendor. The former pixel board is retired.
Referral reporting
Owners see aggregate profile views, outbound visits, calculator uses, comparison opens, saves, and enquiries. Event endpoints use basic bot filtering and short-window rate limits. Counts are approximate events, not independently verified unique visitors or conversions. We do not expose visitor IP addresses or browsing histories in owner reports.
Corrections and freshness
Source-check dates describe when information was recorded or reviewed; they do not guarantee the provider has not changed it since. Owners can correct their profiles from their account. Changes are recorded in profile history. Always confirm current pricing and contractual terms with the provider before purchasing.
