By buying space on SpotPixels you agree to what follows. It is short on purpose.
What you are buying
You are buying the right to display an image and a link in a region of the board, for as long as the board is online. You are not buying the pixels themselves, a share of the site, or any promise about how many people will see it.
Space is sold in blocks. Once a region is yours, nobody else can take it — except by buying it from you on the market, at a price you set.
The Spot
The Spot works differently and deliberately so. It is held by whoever paid the most, and anyone can take it from you at any moment by beating your bid. When that happens your artwork comes down immediately and your payment is not returned. That is the whole game — do not bid on it expecting to keep it.
What you may not put on the board
- Artwork you do not own or have permission to use
- Anything illegal where you are, or where we operate
- Sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualises minors in any way
- Malware, phishing, or links that deceive people about where they lead
- Harassment of a specific person, or incitement to violence
We can remove artwork that breaks these rules without a refund. We would rather warn you first, and will where we reasonably can.
Payment and refunds
Prices are shown before you pay and charged through Stripe. Because space is delivered immediately and cannot be un-delivered, sales are final.
If something goes wrong on our side — you were charged and did not receive the space — write to johnnyhashim@gmail.com and we will refund you.
Reselling
You can list space you own at any price. When it sells, SpotPixels keeps 5% of the sale and the rest goes to you. The buyer takes over the region and can replace the artwork.
The board itself
We will keep the board online and your artwork visible for as long as we reasonably can, but we cannot promise it forever. If we ever have to shut it down, we will say so publicly in advance.
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses arising from using it, and any liability we do have is limited to what you paid us.
